Which should I buy, a laptop or a desktop?

Many friends of mine are goingcomputer.understandable
the computer is becoming more popular day by day, and
computer is necessary and helps a lot when studying.Firstly,Internet can you search Google, Yahoo or MSN. Secondly, people and lecturers use e-mail as the major communication tool, so you also need an e-mail address to keep in contact with them every day. It's very uncomfortable and expensive when you have to go to the Internet Cafe every day, so having a PC is a good solution.

Finally, in the universities today, many subjects require computer tasks to complete the assignments. Journalism, Education and Law students need PCs to prepare for their articles, or their presentation. Architect, Transportation students and the ones in other Technology fields need PCs to calculate and perform complex exercises. Buying a PC is not only what you should do, but also what you need to do.

A natural question you might begin with is, "Which should I buy, a laptop or a desktop?" Although the question seems to be simple, it's not easy to give an immediate answer. From the main differences between a desktop computer and a laptop computer, and base on your purpose of using the PC, you can consider a good

The first difference we can easily point out right at first look of a desktop and a laptop is the portability. Laptop is much more portable; it is only from 2 to 3 kilograms in weight and you can easily bring it anywhere with a bag.

It is also very small, compared to a desktop with a case, a big monitor keyboard, mouse and even a big speaker. Therefore, if you a studying to become a journalist or a teacher who have to go around a lot, you should buy a laptop. The small size of the laptop is also helpful if your room is too small to add another desk. With a laptop, you can also go to the cafe and enjoy your favorite drink while surfing the Internet via free Wi-Fi connection.

Having a PC that you can bring everywhere is so interesting! However, pay attention to the second difference which is configuration before deciding which to buy, especially if your major is Architecture, Music or Design, etc.

With the same price, the configuration of a laptop is always lower than that of a desktop. The reason is the first difference I have just talked about. To make a laptop portable, its devices need to be smaller than the ones in a desktop.

Everything, from the hard disk to the main board, from the CD driver to the power supply, is all smaller. It causes it to be at a lower configuration. The CPU's speed is slower, the HD and RAM capacity is smaller and it may make you doubt if you are going to use your PC for work with high-speed operations such as to draw by Corel Draw, Auto CAD or make a pseudo - system to experiment the traffic in a city. Your PC can always be dumping, restarting and even worse you can even lose your data. With that kind of work, a high-configuration PC is the best choice, so you should be happy with a desktop.

A computer is not a cheap device that can be easily changed. Understanding your situation and purpose clearly will help you to choose the best computer for you with a suitable price.
